Ristorante Gemelli is taking the Coronavirus very seriously. We are taking guidance from the CDC and local health authorities and have increased cleaning and sanitizing to help prevent the spread of all germs, adding paid time for our partners supporting this work.
Our staff is following CDC best practices for food preparation and have been advised to stay home if not feeling well - as they are always encouraged to do. We are providing scenario-based procedural information to our team on how to report and support anyone that may express they’ve been impacted by the virus.
With that said, our food preparers are thoroughly washing hands, keeping their arms clean, and following cleaning procedures with >20 seconds rinsed under warm water.
There is no evidence of COVID-19 being transmitted via food.
As we navigate this dynamic situation we may adapt our dining experience by limiting seating to improve social distancing, enabling takeout-only scenarios with curb-side pickup or via our delivery partner, DoorDash, who we also have also been notified are consciously handling the situation at hand. As a last resort, we will close if we feel it is in the best interest of our customers and partners, or if we are directed to do so by government authorities. In any such situation, we expect store disruption to be temporary.
